Horses

It is almost impossible to drive past a field with horses and not look long at them. If they are alert or moving, they are almost mesmerizing. I love to capture this quality in my sculpture. Fanny is a brown horse that lives in a field bordering my studio and she gazes intently as I am outside working, answering my noisy grinding on steel with a nicker of approval, or at least interest. I have to wonder what Fanny's sculptural rendition of me would be if she could use my tools.
